Apple could follow up its current iPhone 6 flagship smartphone with the iPhone 6S that could be replaced by the iPhone 7 set for release in Q3 of 2016.
The iPhone 7 could have a glass panel that can withstand any fall and ca't be cracked.
According to Apple Insider, the 2015 Apple flagship smartphone will have component protection that will make it a tougher screen and it's not because of the latest Corning Gorilla Glass coating or sapphire cover. The new patent is called "Protective Mechanism for an Electronic Device."

Based on Apple's past releases, the iPhone 7 with an A9 application processor could be in store shelves in September 2015. The all-screen iPhone 7 will eliminate bezels and provide a larger display.
According to reports, Samsung will be the biggest application processor supplier in early 2016 and this will power the future Apple iPhone and iPad models.
Reports also claim Apple designated Samsung as its primary supplier of the next A-series chips that will power iOS devices starting 2016. With 80 percent of Apple's AP requirements in 2016, Samsung will make billion of dollars.
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company could pick up the last A9 supply contract from Apple. Apple chose Samsung over TSMC because of the former's 14nm FinFET processing technology that has improved energy savings and efficiency.
