Daniel Craig Returns in 24th Bond Movie 'Spectre'

Agent 007 is back and so is Daniel Craig; the 46-year-old British actor will reprise his role in the latest installment of the long-running film franchise.

Sam Mendes announced the coming of Spectre at a press conference Thursday morning at Pinewood Studios in the U.K, E! News report. Joining Craig are Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Rory Kinnear and Ben Whishaw, who will be reprising the roles they played in 2012's Skyfall.

Meanwhile, Dave Bautista, Monica Bellucci, Andrew Scott, Léa Seydoux and Christoph Waltz join the film regulars. Craig portrayed Agent 007 in three Bond films including Casino Royale (2006), Quantum of Solace(2008) and Skyfall (2012).

John Logan, Neil Purvis and Rob Wade, who have been writers of Skyfall, will also be joining Spectre.

Bellucci and Seydoux will definitely entice audience as the new Bond girls, while Scott is slated for the role of MI5 staffer Denbigh. Bautista will be henchman Mr. Hinx, while Waltz is to portray Oberhauser. It's, however, been the talk that Waltz is slated to portray Ernst Stavro Blofeld, Bond's nemesis.

Spectre is the acronym for Special Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion, a global network of crime syndicate that Blofeld heads.

It's been revealed that Bond will drive an Aston Martin DB10 in the new movie. Spectre will be filmed in different locations throughout the world: Austrian Alps, London, Mexico City and Morocco.

There's a high expectation for Spectre at the box office, given that Skyfall was a surprise, colossal hit, earning $1.1 billion in global box office receipts, the second-biggest film of 2012 next to The Avengers, U.K. top-grossing movie of all time and the seventh highest-grossing film in movie history. Skyfall also bagged two Oscars and two Grammys.

The 24th James Bond movie is slated for release Oct. 23 in U.K. and Nov. 6 in the U.S.
