Anyone with an internet connection can now peruse the Digital Einstein Papers and its collection of 5,000 searchable documents and papers. This treasure trove contains writings of the Nobel Prize Laureate from his personal and professional life.

Access to the Einstein archive is free. This digital project is derived from volumes of Einstein's manuscripts.

Einstein's papers were published as a joint part of the Einstein Papers Project that aims to digitize as much as the physicist's work to preserve it and make it more accessible to the public.

This archive includes scientific papers, love letters, postcards from his travels, notebooks, essays, political musings and opinions that will give readers a glimpse of the famous physicist at work and at leisure.

There are papers on his marriage and divorce. Of interest are letters about Einstein's political leanings after World War I when he decided to become a pacifist.

The Einstein Papers Project is already halfway through 30 volume of papers. This total includes Digital Einstein documents and papers from 1879 to 1923 that are being transcribed and translated from German.

Scientists and scholars now have a clearer and better understanding of the famous scientist and how he formulated the Theory of Relativity and other theories, as well.

The Einstein Papers Project is set to release its 14th volume in January, along with its digitized version that will be posted on Digital Einstein in 18 months.
