The enmity against comedian Bill Cosby must have been such that even his Hollywood Walk of Fame star was not spared by his haters. The workers eventually cleaned and refurbished the marker on Friday morning.
Reports from CBS Los Angeles revealed that the word, "rapist" was written multiple times on the star, bearing the comedian's name.

The actor's marker is located south of the 6900 block of Hollywood Boulevard.
Nobody at the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce had an idea when the vandalism took place, but as early as Tuesday, an image of the comedian's vandalized star was already posted by Twitter user Josh Keown (@JoshKeown).
Keown, who spoke with KCAL9's Randy Paige Friday, said he was quite surprised to have seen what had happened to Cosby's star.
"I was like, 'Am I really seeing this right now? You know, is this really happening?' I took a photo of it, of course, and put it on my Twitter," Keown said, who saw the damage immediately after he went out of his hotel in Hollywood
The graffiti was cleared from the star and it is Hollywood Chamber of Commerce's desire that vandals keep away from it.
"The Hollywood Walk of Fame is an institution celebrating the positive contributions of the inductees. When people are unhappy with one of our honorees, we would hope that they would project their anger in more positive ways than to vandalize a California State landmark," the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce said in a statement.
Most of the people who walked by Cosby's star on Friday didn't notice his name, but those who stopped to speak with Paige reflected on the man, his career and the scandal that surrounds him.
Cosby has been slammed by women who stepped up in the recent weeks to claim they were drugged and sexually assaulted by the comedian, He is now facing a lawsuit for molesting a 15-year-old at the Playboy Mansion in 1974.
A civil suit filed against the 77-year-old Bill Cosby in 2006 has ended up in an out-of-court settlement.
