Fitbit Charge Fails to Wow Market

Despite the fact that activity tracker Fitbit Force was pulled off the shelves last year due to an allergy-inducing wristband, it was deemed as one of the best fitness trackers ever created.
And now, the Fitbit fitness tracker has been rebooted and has been revamped. Renamed "Fitbit Charge" the features are quite the same as it includes the monitoring steps, calories burned, and even measures the quality of sleep.

There were a couple of tweaks and it includes notifications from smartphones being included in the display of the device and an improved clasp design so users don't have to worry about it falling off from their wrists. As for its battery life, it can last up to 10 days if it has been charged once already.
However, despite the advances of the "Fitbit Charge", it still falls short of features like Basis Peak's heart-rate tracker. The heart-rate tracking feature will be available by 2015 for the Fitbit Charge HR and it would cost $20 more than the current price of the rebooted product.
Although the design was said to be sleeker than the original version it still is not as smooth as the design of the Jawbone tracker lineup. The Fitbit Charge is something you can't wear for an elegant dinner.
The next flaw is that it cannot be completely submerged in water, though it is water-resistant. On the plus side, the device no longer needs to be into "sleep mode" at night as it is aware when you are asleep or awake.
As for software updates, it also includes a new feature called "Challenges" and it lets you and friends go head to head whenever you choose to do so.
