Frozen Breaks Another Box-office Record; Now the 5th Highest-grossing Film of All Time

Most everybody seems to love Disney's hit 3D musical fantasy-comedy film, Frozen.
Released in theaters worldwide only in November 2013, the film in less than six months has created monster records that continue to snowball.
Frozen is the highest-grossing animated film of all time and the highest grossing movie in 2013, taking in more than $1.2 billion in worldwide box office revenue.

Of this total, $800 million came in from overseas (with special mention to Japan where Frozen remains huge) while $400 million of which in the United States and Canada.
Now add to these incredible records a new one: the fifth highest-grossing film of all time, whether live or animated.
Frozen has overtaken Iron Man 3, another Disney film, in the ranking of the most lucrative blockbusters at the global box office. As of May 25, Frozen earned a cumulative total of $1,219,179,972 in theaters worldwide.
It seems a remote possibility Frozen will topple Avatar, the highest grossing movie yet with $2.7 billion in box office earnings. But the endearing story of Anna, a fearless princess and a rugged mountain man named Kristoff is still enchanting audiences worldwide six months after hitting the big screen to rave critical reviews and massive box-office earnings.
Frozen is Disney's highest-grossing feature film ever. It is also the only animated feature among the top 10 highest-grossing films at the worldwide box office.
Frozen and Toy Story 3 are the only animated movies to earn more than $1 billion at the global box office.
Frozen is Disney's is the 53rd animated feature in the Walt Disney Animated Classics series. It was inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale, The Snow Queen.
Frozen won two Academy Awards for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song ("Let It Go"). It also won the Golden Globe Award for Best Animated Feature Film and the BAFTA Award for Best Animated Film.
It also took home five Annie Awards (including Best Animated Feature) and two Critics' Choice Awards for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song ("Let It Go").
