Britain's globe-trotting royal couple, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, has kicked off a 3-day tour in New York City, their second time in the U.S. after a 2011 California visit.
Princess Kate, who is more than 4-months pregnant, and Prince William have back-to-back engagements to make most of their 72-hour stay in America.

Accompanied by a security detail, the couple arrived at New York's posh Carlyle hotel last night, welcomed by cheering crowds.
Prince William's mother, the late Princess Diana, stayed at the Carlyle in the 1990s.
Every American president since Harry Truman has been to the Carlyle, besides monarchs from Spain, Greece, Denmark and Sweden.
The prince and princess attended their first Big Apple dinner, hosted by the American Friends of the Royal Foundation, after checking into their topnotch suite with a views of New York's Central Park.
On Tuesday morning, Prince William met President Barack Obama in Washington D.C. and then he flew back to New York to attend a conservation reception with former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and her daughter Chelsea in the afternoon.
Princess Kate, wearing a black coat by England's fashion house Goat, visited children in Harlem, something Princess Diana had done.
Mayor Bill de Blasio's spouse, Chirlane McCray joined her in wrapping Christmas gifts with children at the Northside Center for Child Development.
The duke and duchess are expected to watch a match between the Brooklyn Nets and the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Barclays Center.
Most likely, they will run into part owners of the Nets, hip hop's own royal couple, Jay-Z and Beyoncé.
Tomorrow, the royal couple are scheduled to pay homage to the dead at the 9/11 Memorial.
They will end their visit to New York with a fundraising dinner for the University of St. Andrews at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
