Boxing champ Floyd Mayweather said that he was on FaceTime with Earl Hayes when the said rapper became outraged, believing that his wife Stephanie Moseley had cheated on him.

Not only did Hayes confide in Mayweather, sources close to the boxer stated that he pleaded with the rapper not to hurt Moseley when he threatened to kill her, but failed and witnessed Hayes pull out a gun and shoot his wife and himself.

Hayes is a close friend of Mayweather and an artist on the boxer's Money Team record label. Moseley, on the other hand, was a dancer who starred in VH1's drama, "Hit the Floor."

"Floyd is in shock and is having extreme difficulty dealing with the fact that he witnessed a horrifying murder/suicide," an insider told TMZ.

After a neighbor reported that he had heard a woman screaming and gunshots, police immediately swarmed the Palazzo East apartments. The couple was found dead.

The deaths have stunned the couple's close friends, especially since none have yet said that Moseley has ever complained of being physically abused by Hayes.

Burrel L. Wilks, Hayes' close friend and life coach, said that people will never know what went on between the two, but that he heard straight from Moseley herself that Hayes has never raised a hand on her.

Other artists also took to social media to express their grief.

Singer Chris Brown wrote on Instagram, "RIP baby girl. Danced with me on tour and was always the coolest person. My prayers go out to you and HAZE family."

In a statement released to the press, VH1 stated, "We are incredibly saddened to hear the news of the passing of Stephanie Moseley. VH1 and the entire Hit The Floor family send our thoughts and condolences to her family and friends at this difficult time."
