Former pauper Steven Prescod of Brooklyn had the best moment of his life when Prince William gave him his direct contact number following a performance inside a non-profit home in Manhattan.
Prescod was the featured act in The Door, a Manhattan non-profit that helps kids and young adults get their lives back on track, during the visit of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

The 22-year-old said he just wanted to give his best performance when he rapped about his life - how his father got into jail while he was one year old and how he served seven years in jail for assault.
The rap also included his struggles and how he was sent out of jail to start a new life.
"I had a low period in my life and never in a million years did I expect I would be performing for the duke and duchess," Prescod told the New York Daily News.
After his performance, Prescod said that was it but he was surprised when Prince Wiliam stood up and congratulated him.
The British prince told Prescod how impressed he was by the Brooklyn man's performance. Prince William then gave his number to Prescod and urged the rapper to reach out to him.
Prince William even told those present at The Door that being among the kids and young adults was the best moment he and his wife experienced during their three-day trip to New York City.
When asked what was in his performance that caught the attention of Prince William, Prescod said it may be because everything in his performance was true.
Prescod preformed an autobiographical spoken word piece called "Brooklyn Boy" for the royal couple.
The Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, is expected to visit China early next year after being invited by the Chinese government to visit the country, the BBC reported.
However, it will be unlikely for Princess Catherine to come to China because she will be heavily pregnant with their second child.
BBC said the China trip will become Prince William's most significant overseas tour to date.
