The micro-blog has been forwarded and commented for sixty thousand times up to now.  Some netizens joked: "Wuhan giant yellow duck, watch out your neck!", because braised duck neck with soy sauce is a famous and delicious snack in Wuhan.

Some netizens questioned about the duck's copyright. According to Changjiang Daily, There is no doubt that  the original giant yellow duck's copyright belongs to Dutch conceptual artist Florentijn Hofman,  Hofman is also known as the " father of giant yellow duck".

Hoffman hopes the yellow duck can spread happiness and positive energy to the public during its tour around the world. He said: "I prefer to view the world from a child's perspective, I hope the giant yellow duck can change the landscape of a city briefly, Let the audience reexamine the perceptions on their city, interact with the giant inflatable art work."
