Android smart watch owners can now customize the design of their smart watch faces on the new update that Google Play Store made for Android Wear on December 11.

The lack of customizing Android smart watch faces is one of the things that was dismaying about the product. This was due to the undocumented application programming interface (API) that developers are working on.

The API is the reason why a particular app could have so many features and have designs that people could modify on their own. Luckily, Google came to the rescue by updating their Android Wear, as it now includes features that could customize smart watch faces.

There are so many watch faces or themes that users could choose from according to their lifestyle, personality and mood. They can choose from themes with arcade games such as "Pac-Man," "Plants" vs. Zombies" and "Angry Birds" just to name a few. If they want to go with a classy look, they could also choose Rebecca Minkoff or Hugh Turvey. The fee on the watch face could vary, but there are still a lot of them that are free for the users to enjoy.

Lots of changes have been made to improve the new Android Wear, and so many features have been added for users to be hooked on it even more like retrieving old cards if they dismissed them accidentally. All they need to do is tap the watch face user menu and they can instantly see the latest actions they did for them to navigate the other features on the watch's screen.

They can also check on the battery and memory usage of the many different apps installed and it's up to them if they want app notifications updated on their Android Wear.

There were about 15 graphic artists and designers who worked to make this happen and so far, it's worth it.
