The horrific killing of Jessica Chambers has led to police officers questioning a man linked to the slaying of the Mississippi teenager who was burned to death over the weekend.
The officials in Mississippi has held a man identified as 31-year-old Derrick Turner for questioning at the Panola County jail since Monday this week for the killing of the 19-year-old. However, he was released from jail on Wednesday afternoon and said that he did know Chambers but they have not seen each other for a few months now.

According to Chief Cole Haley of the Courtland Fire Department, they responded to the burning car but thought that it was just a normal car fire. However, he and his team saw Chambers lying next to her car and she allegedly whispered some words to Haley but this information cannot yet be disclosed to the public.
Also, investigators are saying that someone poured an accelerant on Chamber before she was set on fire.
Chambers' father, Ben, has released a statement asking for justice for their family's loss.
"Only part of her body that wasn't burnt was the bottom of her feet. ... I want to see justice for this so bad," Mr. Chambers said. "Why? What did she do? What kind of monster are you? ... That's a part of me that's gone forever."
Chambers was last seen on Saturday at a gas station at around 6:30 in the evening. She was found on fire 90 minutes later near her car that was parked on a rural road in Panola County. She died, however, at a hospital she was rushed to in Memphis and no arrests have been made yet regarding her case.
The death of Chambers is being ruled as a homicide as the initial autopsy showed that she had died from burns that covered almost 98 percent of her body. Calls have bombarded the sheriff's office as people seek for an update on the investigation, however, these calls have not been returned immediately.
