Bill Cosby is facing a legal battle on defamation charges leveled against him by one of various women who claim to have been drugged and raped by the comedian.
Tamara Green filed the defamation lawsuit against Cosby for allegedly damaging her reputation after calling her a liar through his publicist and lawyer.

Famous feminist lawyer Gloria Allred believes that defamation claim is not an impossible claim.
Allred held a press conference last week, where three alleged Bill Cosby victims came out to accuse the actor of raping them. Allred also called on Cosby to waive the statute of limitations so that the accuser could prove their accusations, as well as give Cosby the chance to clear his name and prove his innocence.
Cosby, however, refused to concede to Allred's demands.
Cosby's reps, meanwhile, challenged Judy Huth, one of the women who appeared at the Allred press con, to show proof od sexual abuse in order to substantiate the lawsuit that she filed against Cosby.
Huth's lawyers believed that Huth has a reason to evade the statute of limitations against sexual battery claims. California law allows claimants to file for damages endured due to childhood sexual abuse if the victim has found out about the damage three years back.
Huth, however, will have to explain how the alleged sexual assault caused "significant problems throughout her life" and she only "discovered" the psychological injuries three years ago.
Cosby's camp is asking that the lawsuit be sanctioned.
Now that any attempt to sue Cosby seems futile, the only hope for Cosby to be punished, it seems, is to catch him on his own actions.
According to Hollywood Reporter, "one possibility is that Cosby might trip himself up by breaching any confidentiality obligations he has from prior settlements."
So, the only hope of getting Cosby punished is to find him guilty of defamation.
That means if Cosby slams accusers for not telling the truth, he risks himself of being sued for defamation.
