When actress Angelina Jolie was asked by People magazine on her interview for the magazine's "The Best and Worst of 2014" Special Double Issue about what is the greatest thing that happened to her this year 2014, her answer is not what you would have expected.

According to her, the best thing that happened to her this year was when Maddox, her son, became a teenager.

There are lots of great things that happened in Jolie's life this year, including her France wedding to long term partner, Brad Pitt. However, that event does not top the list of Jolie.

Just like any mother, she is happy to see her kids healthy. She is also glad that she married their father and her health is good. Jolie is so attached to her children that she made sure they had an important role in their wedding ceremony.

Her sons Maddox, 13 years old and Pax, 11 years old walked her down the aisle. Her daughters, Zahara, 9 years old and Vivienne, 6 years old were the flower girls and Shiloh, 8 years old and Knox, 6 years old were the ring bearers. Her children also did something special to her Atelier Versace wedding dress, wherein they did some cute drawings on Jolie's wedding dress.

Jolie, 39, is an American actress and filmmaker.  She is known for her roles in "Girl Interrupted", "Gone in Sixty Seconds", "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider", "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" and "Wanted".  Jolie's latest film was "Maleficent".  She recently did a directorial job for the movie "Unbroken."

Aside from her acting skills, Jolie is also known for her charity projects internationally and she is often included in the list of the most beautiful women.

Jolie is currently doing "By the Sea", "Kung Fu Panda 3" and "Salt 2".
