In yet another leaked email exchange from Sony Pictures, iconic screenwriter Aaron Sorkin tells Sony Chairperson Amy Pascal and movie producer Scott Rudin that he didn't know who "12 Years A Slave" actor Michael Fassbender was.
"'This used to be an event. I don't know who Michael Fassbender is and the rest of the world isn't going to care. This is insane," "The Newsroom" creator wrote. In

Sorkin's reply came after Pascal emailed him that director Danny Boyle "seems committed to" casting Fassbender as the lead in the Steve Jobs biopic.
Along with the email regarding Fassbender, the exchange also made mention that Leonardo DiCaprio turned down the role, and Hollywood A-listers Christian Bale and Tom Cruise were being eyed for the role.
Eventually, Sorkin came around and agreed to the idea of casting Fassbender as the lead, saying, "F*** it. He's a great actor whose time has come."
Pascal agreed to Sorkin's assessment that if the flick turned out well, it would be Fassbender's biggest break which could get him "nominated for everything".
However, soon after the email exchange, production did not push through, and the script has since been picked up by Universal.
Aside from the email exchange regarding Fassbender, email exchanges between Sony execs have also revealed how some of them feel about today's biggest stars.
In a private email exchange between Pascal and studio exec Clint Culpepper, Culpepper refers to comedian Kevin Hart as a greedy "whore" after the said actor refused to tweet about his own upcoming movie unless he got paid a significant amount for it.
Another previous email exchange also saw Pascal having an online conversation with Rudin about Angelina Jolie who was said to have tried to convince Director David Fincher to drop out of the Steve Jobs biopic to direct her Cleopatra movie.
