Nashville star Hayden Panettiere and boxer Wladimir Klitschko will apparently be making their contribution to the Hollywood baby boom as sources told US Weekly on Wednesday that the couple are expecting their first child together.  

The 24-year-old actress and the 36-year-old athlete have had an at times tumultuous on again/off again relationship for the last three years and became engaged in October of 2013.

However, Panettiere has stated on numerous occasions that their wedding is currently on hold, but not necessarily due to a pregnancy, but rather because her Ukrainian fiancé is waiting for things to settle down in his home country before the couple decides to tie the knot.

Panettiere first started becoming a household name with her work in the 2000 film Remember the Titans as well as the popular television series Heroes which aired its final season in 2010.

Klitschko is a professional heavyweight boxer who currently is the longest reigning IBF, WBO & IBO heavyweight champion in history and holds the most title defenses for all three of these organizations. In April 2014, he was slotted as number three in boxing magazine The Ring's pound-for-pound list of top boxers - coming in behind Floyd Mayweather and Andre Ward.

Klitschko and  Panettiere  reportedly met in 2009 at a party and began dating after becoming good friends.

Although the two have not yet released a statement confirming the pregnancy, fans of the couple are no doubt already lining up to give their congratulations!

The petite, 5-foot-1 actress has talked about her desire to be a mother for years now and even admitted recently to Glamour magazine that she is looking forward to being a mom and for the opportunity to fulfill a role she feels she was 'born' for.  

The tiny star also joked that with Klitschko's 6-foot-6 frame and her own 5-foot-1 stature, their future children will surely be just the right height.
