Dr. Dre's big earnings also set the widest margin in the list's history between the top earner and the No. 2, which is more than half a billion bucks!
In the No. 2 spot is R&B diva Beyonce Knowles, who earned US$115 million, thanks to her highly successful Mrs. Carter Show world tour, the launch of her surprise album and lucrative endorsement deals with Pepsi and H&M, among others.
At the third spot and the only act other than Dr. Dre and Beyonce to reach the US$100 million mark is the timeless rock band, The Eagles, whose concert tour, History Of The Eagles, tour boosted their earnings.
Bon Jovi, with US$82 million, landed on the fourth spot after the band's Because We Can Tour, which ends this year, grossed a quarter of a billion dollars.
Bruce Springsteen, whose US$81 million-earning helped him make it to the top 5. The singer's income is beefed up by his tours, which paid him US$4 million per night with the E Street Band.
