Shenzhou X spacecraft set for launch

China will launch the Shenzhou X spacecraft in the middle of June, three astronauts will visit the Tiangong-1 space module again, a spokesperson for the manned space program said on June 3rd. The spacecraft, mounted on top of a Long March 2F rocket, had been wheeled to a launch pad at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center this morning. This is the final stage of launching the Shenzhou X spacecraft.
The spokesperson for the manned space program said, the Shenzhou X spacecraft and the Long March 2F rocket were delivered to Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center by the end of March. In accordance with the launch test procedures, the installation and test work have been completed. Carrier rocket and ground facilities will be conducted at the launch site in the next few days.
Preparations are going smoothly for all eight major systems of the missions. Now the astronauts have completed the related training projects, they also take courses about related space station scientific experiments during the mission. The astronaut crew organized special ground simulation training; all the astronauts are in good physical and mental health.
If the mission is successful, the crew will dock the Shenzhou X with the Tiangong I space module and live there for more than a week, carry out space station scientific experiments. The entire mission will last about 15 days, or two days longer than the maiden flight to Tiangong I last year.
