Taiwanese-based Chinese actress Elanne Kong reportedly admits to having suffered from depression and mental breakdowns following the termination of her contract with Universe International earlier this year.
Last April, news broke out that Kong has filed a lawsuit against her managing company, Universe International, aiming to terminate her contract earlier than the ten-year agreement. She filed the case on grounds that the Taiwanese talent company has never paid her for the work she has done, claiming that she had been surviving through her family's financial support.

With the lawsuit underway, the 27-year old actress has reportedly suffered from mental breakdowns and depression.
During a recent appearance she made at a Christmas event, the actress revealed that she got too stressed out because of the lawsuit and had to consult a psychiatrist on a regular basis.
Kong shared that she almost always cried and suffered emotional breakdowns when she filed the lawsuit. However, when she was asked to state her opinions about the lawsuit and how it is affecting her now, she explained that she now more passive about it.
"I'm just waiting now," she said. "Hopefully, it will be resolved soon."
Despite that, she assures the public that she had partially recovered from it.
When she was asked if her new boyfriend, Taiwanese actor Mike He, has been offering her words of encouragement and advice, the actress firmly insisted that she is just good friends with him and that she does not talk about her personal affairs with her friends.
Kong, who had been highly-promoted by Universe International in the past, was rumored to have had a romantic relationship with Daneil Lam, the chairman of the company.
It has been speculated that when her alleged relationship with Lam soured earlier this year, the chairman claimed that the company loaned $500,000 HKD to the actress, claiming that the actress is greedy.
