Beverly Johnson, the iconic supermodel who was the first African-American to appear on the cover of Vogue in 1974, stepped up to tell the world that Bill Cosby drugged and attempted to sexually assault her.
In an article she wrote for Vanity Fair, Johnson provided a detailed account on how she met Cosby many times in the 1980s in the hopes of landing a role in his long-running sitcom, The Cosby Show.

In one instance, Johnson alleged that Cosby insisted that she have a cappuccino from the espresso machine in his personal bar.
Given that she has had experimented with drugs in the 1970s, Johnson said she "knew by the second sip of the drink Cosby had given me that I'd been drugged."
The supermodel recalled that she got dizzy and noticed how her speech got garbled.
"Cosby motioned for me to come over to him as though we were really about to act out the scene," she said.
"He put his hands around my waist, and I managed to put my hand on his shoulder in order to steady myself," she continued.
As she felt her body was limping, she narrated that her brain "switched to automatic-survival mode," and made sure that Cosby understood that she knew what was going on.
"You are a motherfucker aren't you?," she yelled at Cosby, repeatedly shouting at him and fighting him off until he got angry at her tirade he decided to get her to a cab.
She attempted to confront Cosby over the phone but any hopes remained futile when it was his wife who picked up the phone.
After that, she never attempted to call him because she believed she "would be fighting a losing battle with a powerful man so callous he not only drugged me, but he also gave me the number to the bedroom he shared with his wife."
It was only now, when over a dozen women have already appeared to slam the comedian, that she decided to speak up about that harrowing experience.
Vanity attempted to get Cosby's side, but his lawyers did not respond to any of the magazine's request for comment.
