It has previously been reported that Chinese tabloid Sina has criticized EXO for their alleged rude behavior towards Lau, who presented them with the UnionPay Artist of the Year award during the 2014 edition of MAMA, held in Hong Kong last December 3, Friday.

"When Andy Lau used both hands to present the award to EXO, the member from EXO took the award using one hand," Sina stated on the caption of the photo they have uploaded, also adding that the member, Suho, who accepted the award, did not make eye contact with the Hong Kong star.
Despite the criticisms, Eason Chan stepped up for the boy group, coming to their defense. The 40-year old singer stated that the members of EXO have all exhibited 'really good manners'.
The singer songwriter also shared that the first thing the members did when they entered the waiting room was to bow to their senior artists who were present.
"[And then] we took pictures together," Chan related.
The singer also praised the Korean artists, saying that they always bow in greeting to their seniors jokingly adding. "In Hong Kong, no one bows unless they're having a stomachache."
He then explained that there are obvious differences when it comes to culture between Korea and Hong Kong and that there shouldn't be any reason for misunderstandings.
Furthermore, the veteran musician, who was praised in the past by Time magazine for being one of the frontrunners among Canto-pop singers, expressed his wish to collaborate with EXO in the future. He also praised the members of the group for being good-looking and talented at the same time.
