According to the actress, at first, she tried to ignore the negative comments that people are leaving on her posts, but she had no choice but to seek the help of authorities after the situation escalated.
It has been revealed that there were some users who were threatening to expose the 27-year old actress' private messages and photos with the aim to make the public see Ma's erotic and flirtatious nature.
Furthermore, in said messages, the netizens who were threatening her have claimed that the actress allegedly mentioned actor Ron Ng. In order to contain the situation, the actress has already consulted the police and later explained the situation through her Weibo account.
The actress wrote that the people threatening her stated that they will reveal fake Weibo messages and would make it look like she wrote the messages.
"I didn't want to care, but this harassment and fabrication is affecting my colleagues as well as myself," wrote the actress, also saying that the police and her lawyer will be handling the situation. Furthermore, she apologized to the people who were affected in her current issues.
In addition, the threats and bullying have been going on for a year now. The actress reveals that it would have been alright with her and that she could ignore everything, but her friends are being affected negatively as well.
On the one hand, Ma is currently participating in the upcoming drama 'With or Without You' where she plays a key role. The actress is said to be done filming her scenes and despite the controversies, Wong Wai Sing, the producer, stated that they have no plans to replace her.
