It seems like the holidays will be a cold one for "Harry Potter" actress Emma Watson. The 24-year old star and her boyfriend of one year, 22-year old Oxford University rugby player Matthew Janney, broke up a month ago.

The actress' rep confirmed the split with the Daily Mail, saying that the two broke up on good terms.

The reason for the split, like many breakups in Hollywood, was due to Watson's non-stop work schedule. She is currently in Buenos Aires filming the political flick "Colonia Dignidad" with co-star Daniel Brühl. When filming wraps up with the said movie, Watson will begin shooting for "The Queen of Tearling" and will begin pre-production meetings for the upcoming film, "La La Land".

Aside from being active in Hollywood, the British actress is also now an UN Women Goodwill Ambassador.

Although the former couple managed to stay out of the spotlight during their relationship, they were photographed while on vacation in the Caribbean last January, and Janney was said to have accompanied the actress during her global press trips for "Noah" when he could take time off from school.

Last September, the actress was seen moving boxes from her home, leading the public to speculate that she was going to be moving in with Janney. The domestic partnership never happened.

Now single, Watson doesn't intend to date another celebrity. The actress still prefers to date non-Hollwood men.

Before dating Janney, Watson was in a relationship with Will Adamowicz, a schoolmate of hers from Brown University. The two dated for two years.

"I don't date people who are famous, and I don't think it's fair that, all of a sudden, intimate details of their personal life are public as a direct result of me. I wish I could protect them," the star shared with Elle Australia last March.
