"TowerFall" will finally be released for Sony PlayStation Vita.

It is a fantasy action game that brings gamers back to medieval times where battles were fought with bows and arrows.

"TowerFall," which was developed and published by Independent, was initially released for the Sony PlayStation 4 gaming console.

It hit the shelves back in March and got an E10+ rating, which means it's fit for everyone 10 years of age or older. The rating was given because the game isn't too violent.

The archery combat title accommodates up to four gamers simultaneously. It also has an arcade co-op feature, as well.

Despite the game play being easy to follow and understand, gamers can battles to be tough and brutal.

The official U.S. blog site of Sony PlayStation also confirmed the impending arrival of "TowerFall Ascension" to the Sony PlayStation Vita gaming console next year.

A post described the game as "fast and addicting," something that will definitely excite gamers grown tired of the games set in more modern or futuristic times.

The game will include the newest "Dark World" expansion pack that comes with a set of new characters, power-ups and additional levels.
