Persistent rumors in the entertainment sphere say that A-List actress Nicole Kidman and husband Keith Urban are about to part ways.

The ex-wife of Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise is said to be having serious relationship problems -mostly professional- with Keith, a popular singer Down Under who is now a judge on the hit US TV series, American Idol.

Nicole and Keith were married in 2006 and have two daughters. They have homes in Australia and the USA. Nicole has two adopted children with Cruise.

Website Celebrity Dirty Laundry claims the friction between Nicole and Keith is so serious they're reportedly on the brink of a divorce. It said their hectic schedules have kept them apart so often that both are truly separated, both literally and figuratively.

Adding pressure on their marriage is the depression hammering Nicole because of the harsh critical reviews of her latest movie, Grace of Monaco, where she is cast as the legendary American actress, Grace Kelly. The movie was not well received at Cannes last month.

Movie magazine Variety said original story of Grace of Monaco was watered down by the producer, leaving the movie a showcase of Nicole in magnificent dresses rather than depicting Princess Grace's role in helping save the House of Grimaldi.

Keith, on the other hand, is enjoying immense popularity due to his gig on American Idol.

Celebrity Dirty Laundry claims the only reason why the two haven't separated is because of their children. Nicole is said to be desperate to save her floundering marriage that she is thinking of having a baby boy through surrogacy. 

Nicole's most recent films were Stoker and Railway Man.
