Miley Cyrus Instragrammed a photo which apparently shows an opened wrist.

The pop singer had to undergo surgery to remove a cyst found inside her wrist, reports E! News.

The operation was performed Friday in an outpatient procedure.

A source for E! News revealed that the singer was just doing fine.

Miley's sense of humor was noticeable as she posted on her Instagram a photo of herself wearing a hospital gown.

Miley called it "sooooo hipster."

But what caught everyone's attention was the very graphic photos of the surgical procedure the the edited versions of her cut wrist showing raw flesh as surgical instruments kept it opened.

We're still wondering if the cut is authentic or just a product of the artist's creativity.

In one of the images, the star captioned:

"I have pizza in my veins," after she placed a pic of a pizza slice inside the wound.

And there are a lot more variations!

There's Justin Bieber's pic, Elvis Presley's, a smiley face and her late pet dog, Floyd.

"Omg Floyd veinz," she she captioned.

It has not yet been divulged what kind of cyst has been removed from Cyrus' wrist.

It is believed that lumps detected on the wrist or other parts of the hand are benign. Ganglion cyst, also known as "Bible's Cysts" or "Bible Bumps," is one of them. They usually just disappear, although there are instances when they have to be removed through surgical operation, especially if the cyst is already painful and causes discomfort.

Cyrus is known for sharing eyebrow-raising pictures in her Instagram. Once, she posted injury photos, especially showing her bleeding.

Then, the actress has also received considerable media attention after she posted naked or racy shots of herself.

All in all, 2014 has been pretty much a good year for Cyrus, who, other than getting hospitalized because of extreme allergic reaction due to the antibiotic Cephalexin, has been enjoying steady success in her career and found a new love in the person of Patrick Schwarzenegger.
