Airport police revealed that a member of the singer's entourage forcibly attempted to open the door Friday so he could fetch late pals which were supposed to join them on board the place headed to Phoenix
The 27-year-old singer, whose real name is Jeremy Felton, is now in legal woes because of disorderly conduct and obstruction of administration of law.
Another man has also been charged the same, while a third one is facing raps because of defiant trespass after he opened the airplane door.
Port Authority spokesman said that the police has already released the three, although they are set to appear in court.
Billboard attempted to get Jeremih's side although his label rep, Def Jam, has not yet responded to inquiries.
Jeremih made his debut with the launching of his first single, "Birthday Sex," reaching No. 4 on the US Billboard Hot 100, while his self-titled album debut album peaked at No. 6 on the US Billboard 200, after selling 59,000 copies in its first week. His second album, All About You, was launched in 2010, while his third studio album, Late Nights, is supposed to be released this year.
Dubbed as one of R&B's most reclusive and most talented singers, the crooner already enjoyed three top 10s on the Hot 100 and 18 hits on the R&B/hip-hop charts, including "Hold You Down."
