Rookie standout Jabari Parker of the Milwaukee Bucks has a torn ACL and will most likely miss the rest of season, the team announced on Tuesday.
Parker suffered the injury in the third quarter of their game Monday night when his knees buckled on a drive to the basket then colliding with the Phoenix Suns' P.J. Tucker.

He was carried out on a stretcher by teammates who thought it was just a sprain. An MRI in Milwaukee revealed the tear in his left knee.
A leading Rookie of the Year contender, the 6'8" 250-pound Parker is the NBA's second overall draft pick this year and is averaging 12.3 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game. He is shooting 49% from the field in his first 25 games in the pro league.
Parker scored double-doubles in two of his first three games and was named Rookie of the Month for games played in November/December.
Playing with 20-year-old Giannis Antetokounmpo in the frontcourt, Parker is part of a young Milwaukee squad which has tallied a current 13-12 record.
Coach Jason Kidd hopes to develop the promising tandem in their quest for a respectable finish in the east.
Parker played one season with the Duke Blue Devils and was named first-team all-American. Experts said he was one of those few high school players who were made for the NBA.
"He is the epitome of what you would want a basketball player to be -- outstanding every day on the practice court and in the classroom and a very humble young man. He had a fantastic freshman year and is so deserving of the opportunity to play in the NBA and follow his dream," said Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski of his former ward in a statement after Parker decided to join the draft.
