Actor and comedian Jonah Hill has apologized for an anti-gay slur he hurled at a paparazzi member that was hounding him over the weekend.
The video shows Hill, 32, walking with friends in Los Angeles' Larchmont neighborhood and being followed by paparazzi videographers. The paparazzi made comments on Hill's flashy floral shorts, while following him.

The commentary agitated Hill and slung back and gave derogatory comments for gay people.
Hill then appeared on 'The Howard Stern Show' on Tuesday and publicly apologized for the remarks that he used.
'The Wolf of Wall Street' actor said that what happened, referring to the remark he gave, broke his heart and said that he has been a gay rights activist.
Hill talked about the context by which he used the slur, but said he was not trying to excuse himself from acting the way he did. He said the paparazzi was following him all day and had been saying hurtful words about him and his family.
According to Hill, he was not defending his choice of words, but was happy to be the poster of how people should think first before they let out hurtful words. He said that even if he did not mean what he said, those words are still rooted in hate.
"[And] in that moment I said a disgusting word that does not at all reflect how I feel about any group of people," Hill said on the show.
Hill also mentioned he grew up in a family with gay family members. One of co-workers, who happen to be his best friend, is gay and said he is going to stand at his wedding.
He and the show's host talked about how celebrities are harassed by groups like the paparazzi and Hill said he is not a very diplomatic public figure.
"If you call me ugly, if you call family members of mine drug addicts and maniacs, I am eventually going to lose my cool," Hill said. He said that he did not intend to use the term towards anybody in the LGBT community.
Hill said that he was happy to take the brunt of criticisms for using the disgusting word. However, what he cannot accept is that people would think he would be against anyone on the basis of their sexuality or preference.
