U.S. Officials Pin Sony Pictures Hack on North Korea

Behind the scenes, U.S. officials have reportedly found a connection between #GOP and North Korea, responsible for the Sony Pictures attack.
U.S. authorities have reportedly linked the hack attack against Sony Entertainment directly to North Korea, putting the communist country in the spotlight for a U.S. investigation.
Details of the link has not been revealed, but several reports from different sources claim the same thing, the U.S. government almost has enough evidence to shame North Korea.

The Sony Pictures attack happened three weeks ago, a group named #GOP filled the system with malware and stole 100TB of data. The hacking group is slowly releasing the data for free, despite it being worth loads on the black market.
Last week, something changed for #GOP and it started referencing "The Interview" and imploring Sony Pictures to make sure the movie never hits cinemas.
Yesterday, the #GOP went a step further and said if the movie is shown, cinemas will be hit with "9/11" scale attacks. This sounds like the kind of nonsensical language North Korea has been using for many years to try and scare people.
Dropping "The Interview" has been labeled a disgrace to the freedom of speech, even though most critics panned it in early previews. The movie details the assassination of Kim Jong-Un, which North Korea calls "an act of war".
It is rather interesting to see the developments, as Sony Pictures still struggles handling the leaked information and having to drop potentially one of the most watched Christmas movies.
However, the #GOP is still an unknown factor and while U.S. officials seem to think North Korea has a hand in the battle, other security analysts believe the group is not state-funded and received help from inside the facility.
Both or neither might be right, one things for certain, things are starting to heat up in the cyber world.
