Shmurda is one of the 16 defendants being indicted by the prosecutors from New York City Special Narcotics Office after allegedly committing different crimes, ranging from murder, attempted murder, assault and drug dealing.

The prosecutors also believed that Shmurda was a "driving force" in a gang that is believed to have committed murders and other violent crimes.
Bobby, also known as "Two Socks Bobby" is also facing raps after shooting a group of people outside a barber shop.
According to prosecutors, "socks" is the gang's code name for firearms. Other members of the group also used code names, the indictment revealed, including "suntan," which means shooting someone.
The complaint further revealed that Bobby professed to a fellow gang member, "You know I suntan him and shot, do issues, you know what's going on."
But the indictment pressed Bobby hard on illegal drug trade and the violence associated with it, which is prevalent from Brooklyn to South Beach, Florida, a crime so violent that Brooklyn these days have already become a shooting gallery.
Bobby is being held for a US$2 million-bail and has pled not guilty to all charges Thursday.
The New York Police Department arrested Shmurda after a lengthy investigation linking him in shootings and illegal drug trafficking.
This is the third time that Shmurda has faced a legal rap. He was earlier slapped with charges for illegal possession of gun and marijuana.
According to Kati Cornell, director of public information for New York City's special narcotics prosecutor, the rapper was in his car during his arrest morning Thursday. Several members of the Brooklyn group GS9 were also arrested.
Brooklyn-born Shmurda is associated with his hit song, "Hot Boy," as well as for the music video that that made the "Shmoney dance" a popular dance step.
His "Hot Boy" YouTube video posted last August went viral that it reached tens of millions of views. Pollard performed the song live on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
