Rockstar Games released the latest update for "Grand Theft Auto 5" Thursday night, and the good news is gamers can now experience the Holiday DLC. However, the bad news is the Heists DLC has been delayed by Rockstar yet again and will be released sometime in "early 2015".

Many gamers were anticipating Heists would be included with the Holiday DLC this month following Rockstar's announcement in November claiming that Heists would be coming as the next update.
"We've got some really exciting stuff in the works...including the highly anticipated launch of Online Heists which will be available for all four consoles as the first GTA Online Update to happen after the game launches on PS4 and Xbox One," Rockstar said.
Instead, the 1.19 update for the PlayStation 3/Xbox 360 and 1.05 update for PlayStation 4/Xbox One only included a variety of Christmas-related content in addition to a number of miscellaneous fixes for new-generation console users.
The Holiday DLC consists of snowy-weather, which allows players to participate in snowball fights. "But be forewarned, those icy little suckers can pack a wallop," Rockstar says.
Gamers also receive wide-range of free Christmas gear including ugly Christmas sweaters, as well as masks allowing gamers to dress up as the gingerbread man or Santa Clause.
In addition, Rockstar has implemented new weapons including the Homing Missile Launcher and Proximity Mines, and vehicles including the new Hot Rod Christmas Ratloader and the Vapid Slamvan. Rockstar says they arrive just in time "to make spirits bright."
Gamers will have the opportunity to receive special Christmas gifts in their inventory by simply heading to the GTA Online apartment on Christmas Day.
In celebration of the New Year, players who log in to GTA Online on either Dec. 24, Dec. 31, or Jan. 1 will be given a free Firework Launcher with five rounds. The launcher will be permanently added to the user's inventory.
