"This is such an honor to me because sexy to me means someone who's confident and happy," she told the audience when she accepted the award.
Grey's Anatomy's Eric Dane presented her the award.
"There are a lot of reasons why Kate is sexy. Style, career, achievements, sense of humor, personality - oh and did I mention her... looks?," the hunky actor said of Upton.
Kate looked resplendent in the black leather top she wore partnered with a large belt and black leather pencil skirt. The 22-year-old's already chic attire is glittered all the more with her gold accessories and matching pumps.
The event was held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in LA and was hosted by Nick Cannon. Among those honored were Jennifer Lopez, Kevin Hart, Lisa Kudrow, Jon Hamm, Karlie Kloss, Jennifer Aniston, Michael Keaton, Gwen Stefani, Chloe Moretz, Kate Hudson and Jimmy Fallon.
Gwen, Maroon 5, Pharrell Williams and 5 Seconds of Summer, meanwhile, enlivened and brightened the occasion with their performances.
