Some iPad variants will also receive this update. The latest update, however, doesn't include additional features or design overhauls.

It focuses more on bug fixes and performance enhancements. It also didn't prevent jailbreakers from breaching the software.
The TaiG iOS jailbreak can be accessed by downloading the TaiG file package and running it as administrator. The user should turn off the "Find My iPhone" feature, disable the passcode and turn on the Airplane mode.
The user should then connect the device to the computer and unselect the second option before proceeding to the green button. A smiley face will appear once jailbreaking is complete.
The Pangu iOS 8 website offers some jailbreak process information. According to Pangu, it's compatible with the iPod touch 5G, iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad mini, iPad mini 2, iPad mini 3, iPad, iPad Air, iPad Air 2.
Those who plan to jailbreak their device should backup first. It's recommended to restore to iOS 8.1 through iTunes or update to iOS 8.1 before the jailbreak process begins.
The Pangu team also encourages people to turn off the lock screen passcode and Find My iPhone features and leave some free storage space before jailbreaking their device.
