The United States has sought the help of China in fighting cyberattacks following North Korea's recent hacking of Sony Pictures, the second cyberattack that has hit the entertainment company this year.
Although China has yet to respond to the request, reports said the two nations have agreed to share information on the latest Sony cyberattack.

President Barack Obama and Chinese President Xi Jinping were one in saying that the recent attack violates the norm of appropriate behavior in cyberspace.
Reports said the US has previously tried to use China as a conduit in influencing North Korea on matters like nuclear tests, its relations with South Korea and missile launches.
US efforts, however, proved insufficient as no positive outcome ever happened.
Reports said that with the recent Sony hacking, only China can resolve this problem by blocking North Korea's cyberwarfare capabilities.
Reports said all of North Korea's telecommunication needs run through China's operating networks. Both Beijing and the US have their respective cybersecurity issues to work on, though.
The US request for help comes at a time when five Chinese hackers working for the Chinese military were arrested last May by the United States authorities and indicted for charges of industrial espionage after they were allegedly caught stealing sensitive industrial information from American companies.
President Obama has condemned the Sony hacking and vowed to issue a response.in dealing with North Korea and it's leader Kim Jong Un.
The Nov.24 hacking prompted Sony Pictures to cancel the release of its December movie, "The Interview", a comedy that centers around the plot of assassinating North Korea's leader Kim Jong Un.
Sony said part of the break-in was a statement from the hackers that they will sow terror at movie theaters that will show the movie, "The Interview."
Tens of thousands of Sony private emails were disclosed in the hacking.
