A 30-year-old teacher of sexology at a Chinese university has created an online buzz across China when she recently became a Buddhist nun, China Daily reported.
Peng Lulu was just an ordinary teacher of sexology - the study of human sexuality, including human sexual interests, behaviors and function - at Beijing Normal's Zhuhai branch until she decided to become a nun.

It was a total turnaround of Peng Lulu's interest as sexuality and religion are seen by many as having two different worlds.
Peng posted a photo of herself on Weibo after she became a nun on December 19, sparking intense discussions on China's Twitter-like microblog.
Reaction was mixed - there were skeptics and well-wishers, while others appealed for more social tolerance for sexology researchers and teachers.
Peng Xiaohui, Peng's former mentor and one of China's most active sexologists, said the female teacher's decision to convert to Buddhism was not to shy away from life's reality.
On her Weibo account, Peng Lulu wrote that Buddhism enables her to find the truth of the universe and life.
Peng Xiaohui appealed to the public to understand the 30-year-old former university sexology teacher as he fully supports the decision of Lulu.
"Lulu is one of my best and favored students in my 20-year teaching," Peng Xiaohui said.
After graduating from Central China Normal University in 2011, Peng Lulu became a teacher at Beijing Normal's Zhuhai branch. She has a master's degree in sexology.
