New Chinese Law Forces Ads To Shut In One Click

The Chinese government has enforced a new internet law, to make sure users do not have to click more than once to close an advertisement.
Advertisement may be the backbone of the internet, but that doesn't mean all ads should be tolerated. The Chinese government has announced a crackdown on ad-agencies that do not offer "one click" ways out of a popup.
Most popups show a clear way to exit, but some send the user to another site when they try to close, or make the X button too small to click. The new rules make sure any of these ads will be removed from the internet, alongside the website potentially.

Popups have become less of a problem in the past few years, as we move to more reliable ads, but on some sites they are still present and quite annoying.
The new rules will include activated popups, a feature Google and other ad-agencies have started to use, opening when the user scrolls or clicks.
Most popular Chinese websites offer ads, but similar to the rest of the world, the companies offer stress-free adverts that do not ruin the user's experience on a website. Some Chinese websites offer dynamic adverts, like Alibaba's flash sales.
Video game sites have a tendency to display rather annoying ads, the Chinese government will most likely remove the site from web searches, if the adverts do not allow users to leave in one-click.
This is another case of the Chinese government enacting rules for the Chinese internet, while the rest of the world is only starting to discuss governments making internet laws.
Even though some of the rules may go too far, others allow Chinese internet users to have a more enjoyable experience on the internet.
