Former U.S. President George H.W. Bush spent December 25, 2014 in a Houston hospital after he experienced shortness of breath for the whole week but his spokesman said he is still in great spirits.
The 90-year-old Bush was taken to Houston Methodist Hospital on Tuesday via an ambulance and remained confined until Christmas day as a precaution. According to Spokesman Jim McGrath, the diagnosis of the president was good.

McGrath said in an emailed statement that despite the former president spending Christmas in the hospital, Bush had another great day and is still in good spirits. The spokesman added that Bush was visited by his wife, Barbara, and his son and daughter-in-law Neil and Maria respectively.
Bush is said to have remained in the hospital until Thursday evening and that McGrath said the former president wanted his sincere wishes for "a very Merry Christmas" be extended to everyone.
This is the latest health scare for Bush. His last hospitalization in the same hospital happened two years ago when he was seeking treatment for bronchitis and related illnesses.
Bush had to spend seven weeks recovering from the said ailment and that he became so ill making people around him believe that his death was nearing.
The former president is also suffering from Parkinson's disease so he is unable to use his legs.
