In addition, this particular version of the Google Android operating system is going to branch out beyond its mobile capabilities.

According to Tech Radar, one of the most notable features of the latest Android 5.0 OS is that it has been incorporated with an impressive technology that allows it to be "aware of its surroundings." In addition, the technology giant has also taken into consideration voice searches, as it wants to expand its smartwear and glass market.

The Android 5.0 Lollipop is now being rolled out to a number of recently released devices, such as the Nexus 4, the Nexus 5, the Nexus 7, and the Nexus 10. Devices that are equipped with Google Play edition will also soon get access to this new operating system version. New smartphones and tablets, including the Nexus 6 and the Nexus 9 will come equipped with Lollipop.

As BGR has cited, those who own other devices, such as the Samsung Galaxy Note S5, will have their updates soon. In fact, some regions around the world have already been updated to the latest version. The Galaxy Note 3 and 4 as well as the Galaxy S4 will have its turn in the near future.

For those with smartphones of an older model, such as the Galaxy Note 2 that was launched back in the year 2012, their operating systems will also receive an update. However, with the company not having said anything about the actual rolling out date, they may have to wait for a little longer.
