A funeral parlor worker had the scariest moment of her life when she found that a woman, in her 70s, was alive inside one of the parlor's mortuary freezers, the Shanghai Daily reported.
Mortuary freezers are the temporary storage for unprocessed or unclaimed bodies or for those that are waiting to be cremated or transferred to coffins.

The incident, which occurred at a funeral parlor in Jiading District, Shanghai, immediately went its rounds in social media and was covered by the district's television station.
The story, however, made a twist when what was earlier believed to be a dead woman who came back to life was, after all, an apparent suicide attempt.
Authorities said the elderly woman, whose identity has not been disclosed, went inside the funeral parlor last Thursday morning unnoticed by funeral workers.
The woman then proceeded to lie down in one of the mortuary freezers and covered herself with a quilt. Authorities said the woman wanted to end her miseries by taking her own life.
The woman, however, did not realize that the power of the freezer had been off.
A funeral parlor worker, who noticed that one of the freezers was left slightly opened, looked inside the freezer to see what was going on. To her horror, the worker saw the woman alive. The elderly woman was unharmed.
Sources said the woman suffered from depression and had history of suicide attempts.
Last year, another odd event occurred in a funeral home in China when a month-old baby, who was about to be cremated after being declared dead, suddenly woke up crying.
The baby was found alive by funeral home workers two days he was declared dead by doctors at a children's hospital in Anhui province.
The baby was immediately brought back to the same hospital, where he was declared dead, for treatment.
Authorities said the incident triggered the revocation of the licenses of medical personnel who attended to the child and declared him dead.
