Authorities charged a truck driver from Georgia for causing a vehicular crash that wrecked six cars and left actor Tracy Morgan critical and another man dead along the New Jersey Turnpike.
The Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office on Saturday said 35 year old truck driver Kevin Roper was indicted with one count of death and four counts of assault by auto after the tractor-trailer he was driving slammed into Tracy Morgan’s limousine bus.

The accident happened around 1 AM on Saturday while Tracy Morgan and his team were on their way back to New York City from Delaware where they had performed a comedy act.
Police said the truck driver was traveling along the turnpike's center lane, failed to observe the slow moving traffic ahead of him, tried to swerve at the last minute, and hit the back of Morgan’s limo bus causing it to overturn.
Rescuers found Tracy Morgan critically injured while his fellow comedian, James McNair, was pronounced ead on the spot. McNair's sister, Valerie Daniel, said 62-year old James was a long-time comedian performing under the name Jimmy Mack.
Also injured in the accident were comedians Ardie Fuqua and Harris Stanton, and Morgan's assistant, Jeff Milea. Morgan, Fuqua and Milea remained in critical condition, while Stanton has been released from hospital after treatment of his injuries.
The group had performed together in Delaware on Friday night and were driving back to New York on the same limousine bus, a 2012 Mercedez Benz Sprinter.
Prosecutors said four other vehicles were also hit during the crash but their passengers were not injured.
Walmart representative Brooke Buchanan confirmed that the truck driver was an employee of the retailer.
Walmart president and CEO Bill Simon said the company is terribly sorry that their driver was involved in the tragedy and promised the families of the crash victims that Walmart will "take full reponsibility" once investigators conclude that their truck caused the incident.
