LG Fx0 News, Specs and Features: A Look at the Newest ‘Transparent’ Firefox Smartphone

Firefox has never been able to beat Google, but has done better than Internet Explorer.

One of the things its fans really like about the Mozilla Firefox operating system is its transparency, which we mean figuratively. According to reports, a new device has been developed that has incorporated the word "transparent" a little too literally.

This device is in the form of a smartphone developed by KDDI in Japan, said Endgadget. The developer calls it the "Fx0" and the mobile device is the first phone to run the Firefox operating system ever to come in Japan.

Yoshioka Tokujin is the man responsible for the phone's see-through case, a feature of the phone that allows users to see literally everything inside. In addition to this, the Fx0 is also the first Mozilla mobile platform-powered phone that comes equipped with LTE and NFC.

One of the most notable aspects of the Firefox OS phone is that it has "decent hardware," seeing it's been equipped with a quadcore 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 400 processor and 1.5 GB of RAM. The device also sports an IPS LCD display measuring 4.7 inches.

In terms of aesthetics, the phone is quite beautiful, claims Extreme Tech. The exterior is mostly made of see-through plastic in gold, so it still provides a clear view of what's inside, including the battery itself and the SD card holder.

Aside from the decent specs, the only other notable aspect of the Fx0 is its home button which has the Firefox logo imprinted on it in gold.

Most of the specs of this Mozilla Firefox smartphone are under low to mid-range. There is no doubt this Firefox smartphone is clearly a great improvement over older models.
