Former Spice Girls member Melanie Brown, more popularly known as Mel B, dismissed domestic abuse rumors between her and her husband, Stephen Belafonte, through an Instagram post, assuring her supporters that all is well with regard to her marriage.
Rumors that the British singer has been going through domestic violence erupted after she was rushed to the hospital last December 11. Her hospitalization caused her to miss an episode of 'The X Factor', where she is a part of the judging panel, two days after.

Mel B is said to have been able to resume work on December 15 for the show's final episode, and according to media reports, she appeared 'bruised'. Her appearance at the show then sparked rumors that Belafonte could possibly be abusing her.
However, last Sunday, December 28, the former Spice Girl shot down the rumors through an Instagram post. The 39-year old posted a photo of herself with her husband and captioned it, "For the record, my hubby never would lay a hand on me." She then apologized for not responding to the gossip sooner, saying that 'any response would just fuel more rumors'.
Mel B has also posted a photo of herself and Belafonte with their daughters last Christmas day, smiling happily together as they celebrated the holidays.
Backing her claim was her husband, who also denied the rumors that questioned the status of his marriage to the female singer. Belafonte also took to Twitter to respond to the rumors, saying that he does not usually respond to messages on aforementioned social networking site, but would express his side about the matter.
He described the claims as 'disgusting and untrue'. Belafonte further added that Mel B had been ill and the doctors have 'helped her get better'. He then added. "If fans can't just relax before being negative, they are not real fans of @OfficialMelB."
