Microsoft Xbox One Sales Beat Sony's PS4

No doubt, the Sony PlayStation 4 is one of the best-selling gaming consoles, having sold millions and millions of units since it debuted back in 2013.
Only a few thought Microsoft's Xbox One would be able to beat its sales. But Xbox did, and the people at Microsoft are rejoicing after outselling the PS4.

The Xbox One has been on top of the sales charts for 11 months, said Extreme Tech. In November, Microsoft sold 1.2 million units of the gaming platform and that's just within the U.S.
The reason for this impressive number could have been the huge discounts offered by Microsoft.
Deadline said there's one thing for sure: Microsoft has really pushed things this time. Whatever it may have done to outsell of the PS4 came at just the right time, seeing that it's the holiday (which for many, translates into the "giving") season.
Microsoft offered quite a number of discounts and packages such as the bundle that included with two of Ubisoft's "Assassin's Creed" titles; the latest release of EA's "Madden NFL"; a free stereo headset plus a free 12-month Xbox Live subscription.
All of these were already covered by the $499.99 price tag. If these items were purchased separately, the overall price would be somewhere around $639.99.
That's $140.00 in savings, something that's unusual in the gaming industry.
