Windows 8 is considered a failure by many. The original version of the operating system came with too many bugs.

Now that Windows 10 is finally set to be released sometime next year, many wonder what it has to offer (and what it won't).

New reports making consumers privy to the Windows 10 Technical Preview have come out. They show the newest Microsoft OS has undergone major changes. One of the most noteworthy changes is the traditional Control Panel is gone.

So what's going to be its replacement?

It seems there's a new app in town, which is the "Metro-style PC Settings" program. It was also hinted that users who get Windows 10 will be able to place orders for Xbox One titles from the app store that will come with the OS.

Tech Radar has also reported that Cortana has finally been incorporated into Windows 10. This program was first seen on Windows Phone.

In the leaked preview, it's obvious Microsoft Windows 10 is very similar, if not exactly the same as the smartphone version.

Windows 10 basically works the same way as Google's (you just say OK Google to activate the voice search).

In Windows 10, however, just say "Hey, Cortana." This is a useful feature, especially for those who are often away from their keyboards and who suddenly need to do some work.
