It was fall of last year when Ashley Gardner learned that she is pregnant with not just 1 but 2 sets of identical twins and her husband capturing her expression on a photo after hearing the news went viral.

The astonishing look on her face when photographed when she found out she is carrying 4 babies in her womb spread out on the Internet. And finally, after more than 29 weeks, she gave birth to their 2 sets of twins via a cesarean section on Sunday, December 28.

The family has updated their Facebook account with a post saying that Ashley and the babies are doing incredible. They are happy about how it all turned out and they also applauded the doctors, the nurses and even the entire staff for their job well done.The family promised to update their followers with more developments soon.

The two sets of twins are all girls with dark hair and the smallest of them weighed less than 2 pounds while the others were more than 2 pounds. 

The couple from Pleasant Grove, Utah is extremely happy about their newborn kids because it has been a while since they were trying to conceive. And Ashley, who is now 27, had the case of endometriosis, which made her more difficult to get pregnant. 

What the couple did is undergo an in-vitro fertilization or the joining of the sperm and egg in a laboratory dish and they also had 2 embryos implanted in her womb. The embryos split, which resulted to 2 identical twins.
It is very unlikely that this happens when done the natural way, that the chances are one in 70 million.
