Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Kim Kardashian shares the real reason why she doesn't smile often in pictures because she wants to avoid wrinkles such as laugh lines.

The 34 year old has received some criticism in social media with regards to her photo posted. Most of her pictures never really show a smile.

Kardashian has posted a black and white photo via Twitter where she is seen baring her pearly whites with Shamari Maurice.

Along with the picture is a caption which says, "See I do smile on occasion. Not too often though because it causes wrinkles."

Shamari Maurice is her younger sister Kendall's BFF and is frequently seen and photographed with the Jenner sisters all over Los Angeles.

Kardashian, known for posting provocative and the most talked about pictures, has 5 million followers on Twitter. She also contends with other public figures when it comes to the huge amount of followers.

Kardashian was first known in the Hollywood scene as rapper Ray J's girlfriend and for their personal

video which leaked out.

She was also frequently seen partying with Paris Hilton in her earlier days. But her huge break came when their reality show, Keeping up with the Kardashians was broadcasted by E!

Her relationships are often well-publicized. She has dated Reggie Bush, married Kris Humphries for 72 days and eventually settled down with Kanye West.

Several photoshoots, endorsements and spin-off shows later, Kim Kardashian definitely has come a long way. It pays not to smile not for the expression itself, but to preserve a good face.
