Madonna recently reposted a picture from Lady Gaga's Instagram, altering the image a bit by adding the face net trademark of her latest album, Rebel Heart, which is already considered as the pop star's marketing strategy.
Gaga Instagrammed the over the weekend, with a rather disturbing caption that she might be referring to Madonna.
"Careful witch, I'll put a spell on you. Or maybe I already did," Gaga wrote.
What a coincidence that on the same day that Lady Gaga posted the pic, Madonna's manager, Guy Oseary, held Q&A portion on Twitter to quell rumors of the two's rivalry.
Oseary also clarified that it was not Lady Gaga who Madonna is referring to in her song, "Two Steps Behind," one of the 14 songs that has leaked after the release of Rebel Heart.
"You're a copycat, get back/I'm always on your mind," the lyrics go.
"That song is NOT about Gaga or anyone in particular," Oseary explained on Twitter.
Oseary went on saying that the song is an "unfinished demo" and that Madonna no longer plans to either finish or release them.
"She has NO ill will towards Gaga. It's nonsense. She was listening to the Tony Bennett [and Gaga] album last week and appreciating it," the manager clarified.
