China's military has been promoting its newly-bought weaponry which it introduced in 2014 saying that it wanted to show the public that it was committed to transparency..
Among the new weapons platforms it touted to the public include land, air, and sea assets as well as stealth jet fighter, main battle tanks, and destroyers.

Military analysts said China's rapid progress in upgrading its military weaponry and equipment has stunned the Chinese and has greatly increased its military transparency.
China's military openness in recent years has earned tremendous positive comments from home and abroad . United States Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel last April had boarded the Liaoning ship during his first China visit in Qingdao.
The China Military Online, an official website, said that China's military transparency is a symbol of 'frankness' and that China has nothing to hide,
Reports said that China continues to be the world's top five exporters of military weaponry, spending about $171 billion in upgrading its military hardware in 2013.
Defense analysts said the United States, which has strategic interests in Asia, is 'concerned' about the growing naval capability of China in the wake of its disputes with other claimant-countries in the South China Sea.
Reports said China has added 10 new vessels to the PLA Navy last year including guided-missile destroyers, frigates, and minesweepers.China is in dispute with claimant countries such as Vietnam, Philippines, and Taiwan over ownership of small islands and reefs in the South China Sea.
"The number of new warships that are put into service annually in China has overtaken the U.S. and has become the first in the world," China Military Online said.
Military analysts said the rapid upgrade by China of its naval weaponry sends out the signal to its nemesis that it seeks to become a marine power to reckon with.
