Hillary Clinton's Memoir Tells All Without Really Saying Anything at All

Hillary Clinton's much anticipated memoir Hard Choices was released on Tuesday, bringing down a hailstorm of media attention on the former first lady.

Hard Choices is Clinton's retelling of the politician's time as America's top diplomat and less of a salacious tell-all that perhaps many people were hoping for.

As a result, critics were particularly harsh. Ana Navarro, a CNN Republican pundit, describing it as "50 shades of boring," and The New York Times book review stated that: "There is little news in the book."

Certain topics are strictly off-limits in the book with Hillary preferring to hone in on the Clinton family's financial woes once Bill Clinton's presidency was over as opposed to the controversial topics such as the NSA and Edward Snowden.

The former U.S. Secretary of State claimed in her book that she and her family were 'dead broke' when they left the White House due to legal fees incurred from the Whitewater and Monica Lewinsky scandals.

The statement raised the ire of Republican politicians who pointed to the $8m Clinton received as an advance for a 2003 memoir as an example of how out of touch the Clinton clan has become with the plight of average Americans. In 2009, Clinton's wealth was estimated to be between $10m and $50m.

But the big question which everyone was probably hoping Hillary Clinton would broach in her memoir is whether or not the politician will be placing a stake in the 2016 presidential election.

Although Clinton does briefly mention the topic in Hard Choices, she gives her standard answer stating that she hasn't decided yet whether or not she will be running for president in 2016.

Instead, Hillary said that the focus needs to be on the issues at hand, writing:

"Right now I believe we should be focused on the work to be done in our country that can't wait until 2016."

In a nutshell, Hard Choices seems to tell a lot without really saying much at all, leaving many who anticipated a closer look at trending issues in the country a bit disappointed.
